Marie Roker-Jones
Hi, I'm Marie Roker-Jones and I help moms of boys navigate the challenges of raising boys.
With more than 15 years experience of providing health and education training and development services, Marie Roker-Jones – a Certified Breakthrough Parenting® Instructor and Intrinsic Coach® in Health and Wellness – helps moms navigate the challenges of raising sons as they journey from boyhood to manhood.
Marie is the founder of Raising Great Men™ – real talk about raising boys to become men of character – and What Kind of Man Do You Want to Be™ – an initiative to help boys and young men create a road map for their future.
As a wife to a soldier of multiple deployments, Marie speaks about the challenges of raising a military family. Marie understands the struggle of balancing personal, family and professional goals during a deployment, and also helps mothers guide sons during a father’s absence. Marie also addresses how to help children adjust after deployment.
Marie has taught Career Development at Lehman College and City College in New York. She has worked with students and parents in public elementary, middle and high schools in New York City and has conducted workshops forMonroe College, The Harlem Book Fair, The Westchester Children’s Book Festival, Harlem Children’s Zone Promise Academy, Monroe College, The New York City Charter School Center and LinkEducation’s K-12 Expo.
